يستعد ملعب “جوديسون بارك” لاستضافة آخر ديربي ميرسيسايد بين ليفربول وإيفرتون قبل انتقال “التوفيز” إلى ملعبهم الجديد في “براملي مور دوك” الصيف المقبل، وذلك بعد تأجيل اللقاء في ديسمبر الماضي بسبب العاصفة داراج.
ويلتقي ليفربول وإيفرتون اليوم، الأربعاء، في تمام الساعة التاسعة والنصف مساءً بتوقيت “القاهرة” في الجولة الخامسة عشر.

ويدخل إيفرتون المباراة بهدف الابتعاد أكثر عن مناطق الهبوط، مستفيدًا من التحسن الملحوظ تحت قيادة المدرب، ديفيد مويس، الذي قاد الفريق لتحقيق ثلاثة انتصارات في آخر أربع مباريات بالدوري، مما جعله يبتعد بفارق تسع نقاط بالمركز السادس عشر.
في المقابل، يسعى ليفربول لتعزيز موقعه في صدارة الدوري الإنجليزي، حيث يتفوق بفارق ست نقاط عن آرسنال، ويأمل الفريق بقيادة آرني سلوت في استغلال هذه المواجهة المؤجلة لتوسيع الفارق والاقتراب أكثر من التتويج باللقب.

The Premier League title hopefuls have been unlucky when it comes to their latest summer recruits, with midfielder Mikel Merino out injured for weeks after fracturing his shoulder in training. Meanwhile, centre-back Riccardo Calafiori, who signed for £42 million from Bologna, was also forced to sit out of their North London Derby win over Tottenham on Sunday.
Arsenal spent around £100 million on their summer signings of Merino, Calafiori, David Raya, Neto and Raheem Sterling – reinforcing multiple areas of Arteta’s squad – but the ever-increasing demands of top-flight football mean elite sides require strength in depth to compete at the highest level.
However, that isn’t to say every player isn’t hand-picked with the utmost care, as Edu explained earlier this year in an interview with Brazilian news outlet Estadao.
“You can’t sign for the sake of signing. It has to be a process that takes weeks and weeks,” said Edu on Arsenal’s transfer policy.
“On my desk, I have reports of over 180 pages on one player. It’s really detailed stuff. Physical, technical, mental profile, whether he has Premier League experience, whether he’ll be able to adapt. Everything. We analyse our deficiencies, where we can improve, where we can invest and then we go in search of that new name. We’ve been discussing what I’m going to do now since January. It’s not my decision or Mikel’s. It’s a group decision.”
Ahead of January, the club have already been linked with a few interesting names. It is believed that Arsenal are targeting Lille striker Jonathan David, who could be available for a cut-price winter fee, considering his contract expires next summer.
Edu is also monitoring Leroy Sane, with his Bayern Munich deal also running out in 2025, and he isn’t the only star from Bavaria being watched over by Emirates Stadium transfer chiefs.

A new forward could well be on the agenda for next year going by recent reports, and a familiar name who remains in their thinking is Sporting Lisbon sensation Viktor Gyokeres.

Gyokeres was a rumoured Arsenal summer target, with reports heavily linking the Swede to north London. Now, TEAMtalk have an update on their interest, and the outlet claims that Arsenal talks are “underway” with Gyokeres and his representatives, as Edu ponders a “blockbuster” January transfer.
The 26-year-old, who has started 2024/2025 in fine form with nine goals and three assists in seven appearances, won’t come cheap – as Sporting maintain their stance that interested clubs will need to pay his £84 million release clause.
Gyokeres is arguably Europe’s most in-form striker right now, alongside City superstar Erling Haaland and Bayern’s Harry Kane, so it is little wonder the Primeira Liga side won’t let him leave on the cheap. Pundit John Wenham has called the towering forward a potential “exciting signing” for suitors, and he’d certainly give Kai Havertz some serious competition for a place up front in Arteta’s starting line up.

واستطرد: البعض يقول إن إمام عاشور لم يستعد مستواه في الزمالك مع الأهلي حتى الآن؟، لماذا؟، وبذلك من المفترض أن يطير، وإمام كل مباراة يسجل أهداف ويصنع كذلك، إمام ينضج وكل مباراة يكون مؤثرًا، ومازال لاعبًا صغيرًا وسيتطور ويتألق أكثر”.

وحول تعليقه على أزمة تجديد زيزو مع الزمالك؟، أوضح: “هو لاعب جيد ومحترم ولم أسمع أبدًا أنه صرح، أنا جلست معه مرة أو إثنين وقال لي إن كل ما يتردد بشأن الأرقام المتداولة غير صحيحة، وأسعار الـ 100 مليون جنيه مُبالغ فيها، لأن ماذا سيقدم أي لاعب لناديه لكي يحصل على هذا المبلغ”.
وحول إمكانية انتقال زيزو لـ الأهلي؟، أردف: “من حق الأهلي أن يدخل في الصفقة ولو أراد ضم اللاعب سيضمه، وحلم لأي لاعب يلعب للأهلي”.
واختتم: “لكن أعتقد أن زيزو لا يريد أن يخسر جمهور الزمالك، ولن يحصل على المبلغ الذي يريده في الأهلي، لذلك أرى أن الأفضل له أن يحترف وسيحصل على المبلغ الذي يريده”.

Already making up for a disappointing summer transfer window, Paul Mitchell’s Newcastle United recruitment team have now reportedly agreed to sign a new gem ahead of interest from Real Madrid.

It’s fair to say that sporting director Mitchell didn’t exactly have the best start to life at St James’ Park, with profit and sustainability concerns coupled by their inability to get a deal to sign Marc Guehi over the line making for a frustrating few months. All eyes have since been turned towards 2025 and a shot at redemption, however, with transfer rumours already beginning to arrive.

Reports have been quick to link the likes of Luca Koleosho from Burnley in a move that would boost Eddie Howe’s attacking options. Meanwhile, the Magpies have also been linked with signing Dominic Calvert-Lewin, whose Everton contract comes to an end next summer, meaning that a cut-price deal may be lined up in the winter window.
The England international would likely replace Callum Wilson as Newcastle’s backup for star man Alexander Isak, whilst adding a more physical threat to Howe’s frontline. Before Koleosho and Calvert-Lewin though, the Magpies look set to sign a future star.
According to Graeme Bailey for HITC, Mitchell has now agreed a deal to sign Vakhtang Salia from Dinamo Tbilisi in the Erovnuli Liga. An obscure signing, the deal will see Newcastle win the race for a young forward that Florentino Perez reportedly wanted to sign for Real Madrid and one that both Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain had their eyes on as well.
Those at St James’ Park will have to wait until next season to see the 17-year-old in action, however, given that he’s set to head straight back on loan to Dinamo Tbilisi for the rest of the current campaign. One for the future, Mitchell has certainly got off to a good start ahead of the winter window.
Signing Salia is early statement from Newcastle
Whilst Salia is of course one for the future, the fact that Newcastle are seemingly set to beat some of Europe’s top sides to his signature represents a much-needed statement of intent from Mitchell and others around St James’ Park. The young forward will be one to watch when he does arrive next season, having already earned comparisons to countryman Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.
If the young Georgian, who can play up front or on either wing, is of the same calibre as the Napoli star, then the Magpies will be in for a treat for years to come. Given that Isak, himself, is still just 25 years old, there’s a high chance that Howe will be able to form a fresh strike partnership between the arriving Salia and his star man to refresh Newcastle’s frontline.
The way that Howe’s side have started the Premier League campaign suggests that they’re gunning for a return to European football once again in a move that would only attract further talents of Salia’s reputation. Meanwhile, off the pitch, Mitchell will be looking to continue matching the likes of Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and PSG in the transfer market.
