Spinner backs up first-innings five-for as on-loan teen Jacob Bethell impresses in Gloucestershire’s second innings

Somerset steamrollered Gloucestershire’s patched-up team to complete a record-breaking LV= County Championship victory by an innings and 246 runs inside three days at Bristol.It was the Cider county’s biggest ever margin of victory over their arch-rivals, which was previously by an innings and 170 at Taunton back in 1893, a match in which WG Grace featured for the visitors.Gloucestershire, without injured skipper Graeme van Buuren, were bowled out for 186 in their first innings from an overnight 119 for 4, Jack Leach finishing with 5 for 49 from 25.4 overs.There was no respite for a home side including three new loan signings when they followed on 405 behind beneath cloudless skies. Leach completed match figures of 8 for 90, while teenager Jacob Bethell hit 61 in a total of 159.Somerset took 23 points to Gloucestershire’s one and have now reeled off successive victories after losing their first three Championship fixtures.With van Burren nursing a shoulder injury sustained in the field on day two, Somerset needed only five wickets at the start of the day to wrap up their opponents’ first innings.Bethell, on a one-match loan to Gloucestershire from Warwickshire, began with a sweet on-drive for four off Craig Overton and followed up with another boundary in the same over.There was concern for Somerset when Overton was forced off by a twinge in his left knee, but the England all-rounder was able to return to bowl at the end of the innings.Josh Davey made the breakthrough for Somerset with the total on 144, rapping Ryan Higgins on the back pad and pinning him lbw for 31, before quickly having Zafar Gofar taken at slip.Lewis Gregory uprooted Zak Chappell’s middle stump and the impressive Bethell fell leg-before on the back foot to Leach for 37 as Gloucestershire lurched to 152 for 8.Last pair Matt Taylor and Brad Wheal offered some resistance, taking the total to 186 for 8 at lunch. Taylor finished 24 not out when Wheal fell lbw to a ball from Leach that appeared to keep low.Gloucestershire’s second innings had reached 24 in the ninth over when George Scott edged Peter Siddle straight to James Hildreth at second slip.Marcus Harris fell on the same total, miscuing a pull shot off Overton and skying a catch to Tom Lammonby at mid-on. It was 28 for 3 when Miles Hammond nicked a ball from Davey through to wicketkeeper Steve Davies.Higgins was caught behind for 16 trying to force Gregory off the back foot and by tea Gloucestershire were in disarray at 74 for 4.Bethell had again given a lesson in technique to more experienced colleagues. But any hopes of a recovery disappeared in the over after the interval when James Bracey swept Leach and Tom Abell took an outstanding catch, one-handed above his head at backward square leg.Luck continued to desert injury-plagued Gloucestershire as Bethell slipped when called for a quick single off Leach by Zafar Gohar, who was forced to turn back and failed to beat Abell’s throw to the bowler’s end.Chappell was bowled off an inside edge for 20 by Overton, who then took a low catch at second slip off Leach to remove Taylor.Bethell’s mature batting in a crisis brought him a deserved half-century off 84 balls, with eight fours. But when he swept Leach into the hands of Lammonby at deep square, Somerset celebrated an overwhelming success.

وقال أهلي طرابلس في بيان رسمي عبر موقع التواصل الاجتماعي “فيس بوك”: “يدين النادي الأهلي ويستنكر بشدة الحادث المؤسف الذي تعرضت له بعض جماهيرنا الوفية أثناء مباراة الفريق الأول لكرة القدم، اليوم بملعب طرابلس الدولي مع نادي السويحلي حيث تعرض عدد من المشجعين لإطلاق الرصاص والدهس من قبل إحدى سيارات جهاز الدعم المركزي التابع لوزارة الداخلية”.

وتابع: “إن هذا الفعل غير المقبول يُعد انتهاكا صارخاً لسلامة المشجعين وحقهم في التواجد الآمن في المنافسات الرياضية، وهو أمر لا يمكن السكوت عنه”.

وأكمل: “يطالب النادي الأهلي وزير الداخلية بفتح تحقيق عاجل وشفاف للوقوف على ملابسات الحادث، ومحاسبة كل من تثبت مسؤوليته وتورطه في هذه الأفعال التي تتعارض مع أبسط ضمانات الأمن والسلامة”.

وأردف: “كما يُطالب النادي الأهلي الجهات المعنية وفي مقدمتها النائب العام باتخاذ الإجراءات الكفيلة بعدم تكرار مثل هذه الأحداث، وتوفير الحماية اللازمة للجماهير في المناسبات الرياضية”.

وأتم: “كما أن النادي الأهلي الرياضي يُعلن تضامنه الكامل مع المتضررين وأسرهم، ويؤكد أنه سيتابع الملف بكل حزم حتى يتم تحقيق العدالة والانصاف”.

O treinador de 51 anos tem contrato com o clube inglês até junho de 2023, o que é um complicador. Como Tite tem vínculo com a Seleção até o fim deste ano, Pep precisaria pedir demissão dos Citizens em meio à temporada 2022/23, algo incomum.

ALTO SALÁRIO
De acordo com o jornal “Marca”, que noticiou o interesse do Brasil no treinador, o salário oferecido a Guardiola foi de 12 milhões de euros (R$ 62 mi) por ano. No entanto, o valor está aquém do que o catalão recebe atualmente na equipe inglesa. Segundo o próprio periódico espanhol, Pep ganha 20 milhões de euros (R$ 103 mi) por temporada, enquanto a imprensa britânica vai além: 19 milhões de libras – ou 22,7 milhões de euros -, o que corresponde a R$ 117 mi anuais.

PERMANÊNCIA NA INGLATERRA

Se ter Guardiola em terras brasileiras seria uma experiência única, por outro lado a pressão seria enorme. Não só pela qualidade e história do treinador, mas também por conta de seu estilo. Apesar da ofensividade relatada acima, o catalão tem o costume de não adotar um time titular, rodando a equipe dependendo do adversário. Tal prática não é bem aceita ainda no Brasil, o que poderia fazer com que o processo de “fritura” começasse cedo.

NOVA REALIDADE
Caso o treinador optasse pela mudança, não só a Seleção teria um choque de realidade, como também o próprio Guardiola. Acostumado a lidar com trabalhos diários em clubes, com muita conversa com jogadores e também muito estudo, o catalão teria de se adaptar a um novo estilo, com contatos reduzidos e limitadíssimos com jogadores, além do pouco tempo para treinos.

It could be a busy month at Villa Park, with Unai Emery planning to make up to three signings in the January transfer window, and one target is Borussia Dortmund forward Donyell Malen, who could be available for a fee of around £25m.

Atalanta’s Mateo Retegui is another option for Villa, with Emery clearly keen on strengthening in attacking areas this winter, but he could also look to bolster his squad in other areas, and a new midfielder is of interest.

The Villans are keen on signing Chelsea’s Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, with the Englishman’s career at Stamford Bridge yet to work out, but there could be competition for his signature from a number of other Premier League clubs.

Dewsbury-Hall is not the only Premier League player on Emery’s list of midfield targets, however, with Football Insider reporting that Aston Villa are very interested in re-signing Carney Chukwuemeka from Chelsea.

The Blues are willing to sanction Chukwuemeka’s departure this winter, and they would be looking to receive a fee of around £40m, a figure that Villa would not be willing to match.

However, the midfielder remains a concrete target if he is available at a lower price, having failed to make the match-day squad for any of Chelsea’s Premier League games so far this season.

The 21-year-old moved to Stamford Bridge for a fee of £20m back in August 2022, but with the move not working out, he could be on his way back to Villa Park this month.

Chukwuemeka needs to leave Chelsea

The youngster is not getting a look in under Enzo Maresca, but he was showing promising signs prior to his move to Stamford Bridge, and a move back to Villa Park could help him get his career back on track.

Former Chelsea man Marcel Desailly clearly rates the Austria-born midfielder very highly, saying: “I like Carney Chukwuemeka because he is like an artist who comes onto the stage. He has got the ball. Now is my moment. Shine. You see the dribbling. He is sure about what he is going to do and he is clinical. I love it.”

That said, while the former Villa man is showing great potential, the alleged £40m asking price is too steep, given that he is yet to prove himself in the Premier League.

Chukwuemeka has made just 37 appearances in the competition in total, appearing for just 223 minutes across the whole of last season. As such, Aston Villa should try to negotiate a lower fee with Chelsea this winter, which is more similar to the £20m they sold him for back in 2022.

وقال تامر النحاس في تصريحات عبر قناة “أون سبورت” فيما يخص قرار انتقال زيزو إلى الأهلي، اللاعب أم والده: “قلت قبل ذلك إنه سيحدث ما يراه والد زيزو، منذ زمن وحلم والده أن نجله يلعب للأهلي، والدليل أنه حاول في هذا الأمر عندما عاد اللاعب من رحلة الاحتراف، ظل يعرضه على الأهلي قبل أن ينتقل لـ الزمالك، ولكن لم يحدث نصيب وقتها، ثم تدخل طارق السيد وعرضه على الزمالك وانتقل اللاعب”.

وأضاف: “في إحدى المرات التي جدد فيها اللاعب للزمالك، كان والده يفكر في المقابل المادي، وتمت محادثات مع مسؤولي الأهلي، وعندما كان يستمع لعرضهم، خرج من الجلسة وذهب للجلوس مع مسؤولي بيراميدز لسماع عرضهم، وفي النهاية حصل اللاعب على أعلى أجر في الزمالك”.

وأفاد: “الآن، الأرقام التي سيحصل عليها من الأهلي قد تكون أقل من التي كان سيتقاضاها في الزمالك، لكنها قريبة جدًا، وجيدة جدًا بالنسبة له”.

وبسؤاله، لو حدث خلاف بين زيزو ووالده حول وجهة اللاعب، أي منهما سيحسم الأمر؟، رد قائلًا: “قرار والده”.

وتطرق للحديث عن مارسيل كولر، المدير الفني للأهلي، قائلًا: “كان لدي عرض لـ كولر من الإمارات قبل مباراة صن داونز بـ 5 أو 6 أيام، وتواصلت مع وكيله، وقلت له إن معلوماتي أن كولر احتمال كبير يرحل بعد مباراة صن داونز سواء فاز أو خسر، ولكن هو كان يرى أنه قد يفوز، أو لو خسر والأهلي قرر رحيله، سيستفيد من الشرط الجزائي، لذلك قال لي سنؤجل ذلك لما بعد المباراة”.

وأردف: “تواصلت مع كولر بعد ذلك، ولكن حاليًا، الوكيل يدرس الوضع، هل يواصل التدريب أم يحتاج إلى راحة، وذلك لأن المدرب يشعر بصدمة، لأنه كان يتوقع أنه سيستمر في منصبه”.

واستطرد: “العرض الإماراتي كان أكبر من عرض الأهلي مرة ونصف، أي كان بـ350 ألف دولار، لكن كان لدي معلومة أن الأهلي يُفكر في رحيل كولر منذ فترة، وأظن أن وجود محمد رمضان مدير رياضي فجأة، كان بداية التفكير في رحيل كولر بقوة، لأن محمد رمضان كان سيقوم بعمل تحجيم كامل للمدرب”.

وأكمل حديثه: “عمرو السولية عند التجديد له العام الماضي مع الأهلي، أنا متأكد أن الكابتن محمود الخطيب رئيس النادي، لم يكن يعرف شيئًا، لأن شكل التفاوض لم يكن جيدًا، ليس الأفضل لقيمة اللاعب، هو يستحق التكريم”.

وأكد: “لو كان هناك تقييم لعمرو خلال التجديد العام الماضي، من المفترض أن ترى أعلى لاعب في الفريق كأجر، وتعطي السولية مثله، هذا هو الطبيعي”.

واختتم: “عمرو السولية جدد بـ15 مليونًا حينها، لكنه كان أقل من بعض اللاعبين، حتى لو بجزء صغير، ولكني أتحدث عن التقدير المعنوي للاعب لا خلاف على كفاءته وما قدمه للنادي، وأن الحاضر بالنسبة له جيد جدًا، والمستقبل أيضًا كإداري في النادي”.

Cabe salientar que o projeto é encabeçado pela empresa Codajas e pelo banco BTG. De acordo com a presidente do Palmeiras, Leila Pereira, destacou que confia que até o próximo dia 12 de maio, haverá assinatura dos 40 clubes (somando Séries A e B).
