Para Cláudio Curra, diretor de futebol feminino do Colorado, este ano tem sido um marco para a modalidade. A competitividade do Brasileirão ilustra o crescimento do futebol feminino.

– Hoje, o Inter consegue competir de igual para igual com qualquer equipe do país. Isso é fruto de nosso trabalho e planejamento a longo prazo e agora já estamos colhendo frutos importantes. Temos uma forte categoria de base, que briga por títulos em todas as faixas etárias, e pelo segundo ano consecutivo, vamos disputar a fase decisiva do Brasileirão A1, tendo chegado entre os primeiros – acrescentou o executivo.

A meia Duda Sampaio, das Gurias Coloradas, está entre as convocadas pela treinadora do Brasil. Isso porque Gabi Nunes, do Madrid CFF, sofreu uma lesão e foi cortada da lista. A atleta do Inter, que estava como suplente, vai ocupar a vaga.

Esse alto percentual de jogadoras na Seleção que jogam em solo nacional também foi evidente na última edição da Olimpíada. Dos 18 nomes que disputaram a competição em Tóquio, 11 vestiam a camisa de clubes brasileiros, o que representou um aumento significativo em comparação ao plantel do Mundial de 2019, de apenas cinco nomes atuando em equipes do país, e Rio-2016, quando não havia nenhum.

Hoje, jogadoras renomadas e com bagagem na seleção atuam no Brasil, como a lateral-esquerda Tamires, do Corinthians, e a atacante Bia Zaneratto, do Palmeiras.

Na visão de Débora Ventura, técnica do Fortaleza, que disputa o Campeonato Brasileiro A-2, um fator que faz diferença no desenvolvimento da modalidade no país é o suporte dos clubes em termos de estrutura.

– A gente também precisa enxergar esse crescimento em termos de investimento. Nossas atletas precisam de um espaço adequado para treinar e aprimorar a parte técnica e tática no dia a dia. No Leão, valorizamos cada ganho que temos, desde o trabalho no CT, que envolve treinamentos e reuniões, até o acesso exclusivo para uma sala técnica. As jogadoras precisam de um espaço adequado, que o clube nos oferece – ponderou a treinadora, que tem passagem pela Seleção como auxiliar-técnica da equipe sub-17, em 2018.

A atleta Cristiane, uma das maiores jogadoras da história da Seleção Brasileira, no lançamento do projeto “Em Busca de uma Estrela”, do qual é embaixadora, projetou o que seria dela se tivesse preparação.

– Imagino que mundialmente falando, se eu, Marta e Formiga, por exemplo, tivéssemos tido uma preparação melhor, sem dúvidas teríamos atingido outro patamar, e nossa geração teria conquistado uma Copa do Mundo ou uma Olimpíadas – disse a atacante.

Investimento e visibilidade

Com as partidas do Campeonato Brasileiro A1 sendo transmitidas pela Band, em TV aberta, aliado ao investimento de grandes clubes do cenário nacional na modalidade, o futebol feminino tem conquistado um novo patamar de visibilidade.

Para Fábio Wolff, membro do comitê organizador do Brasil Ladies Cup, torneio internacional que terá a segunda edição em novembro, a presença de times com torcidas de massa nas competições é fundamental para aumentar o interesse do público.

– A partir do momento que clubes importantes do futebol brasileiro estão na disputa e com equipes competitivas, o futebol feminino só tende a sair fortalecido, seja para angariar novos patrocínios ou até mesmo para elevar o nível técnico das partidas. As principais equipes trazem junto a torcida e a audiência, fatores primordiais para a atratividade da competição – comentou.

Um dos patrocinadores do Brasileirão é a galera.bet, que também fechou um acordo com o Corinthians. A logomarca da empresa está estampada na região do ombro do Timão e exposta nas redes sociais, nas placas do Centro de Treinamento e nas entrevistas.

يفتتح الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بالنادي الأهلي مشواره في بطولة كأس العالم للأندية 2025 بمواجهة مرتقبة أمام إنتر ميامي الأمريكي، في إطار الجولة الأولى من منافسات المجموعة الأولى.

ويلتقي الأهلي بطل إفريقيا مع نظيره إنتر ميامي، فجر الأحد 15 يونيو، على ملعب “هارد روك” بمدينة ميامي، وسط تطلعات جماهير المارد الأحمر للحفاظ على السجل المثالي للفريق في المباريات الافتتاحية ضد أندية البلد المضيف.

تُقام النسخة الحالية من كأس العالم للأندية لأول مرة بنظام موسّع، بمشاركة 32 فريقًا من مختلف قارات العالم، على غرار كأس العالم للمنتخبات.

وتمتد البطولة من 14 يونيو وحتى 13 يوليو 2025، وتُقام بالكامل في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، في تجربة أولى من نوعها في تاريخ البطولة.

ويمثل الأهلي قارة إفريقيا في البطولة بصفته بطل دوري أبطال إفريقيا والأعلى تصنيفًا من بين أندية القارة السمراء، وهو الفريق الإفريقي الوحيد الذي شارك في أكبر عدد من نسخ البطولة، ويطمح إلى الذهاب بعيدًا في هذه النسخة الفريدة.

يمتلك النادي الأهلي سجلًا لافتًا في مباريات افتتاح كأس العالم للأندية، عندما يواجه أصحاب الأرض في أول ظهور له بالبطولة.

فقد خاض النادي الأهلي ثلاث مواجهات افتتاحية أمام أندية الدولة المنظمة، وحقق الفوز فيها جميعًا:

2012 – أمام سانفريتشي هيروشيما الياباني: فاز الأهلي بنتيجة 2-1.

2020 – أمام الدحيل القطري: حقق الأهلي الانتصار بنتيجة 1-0.

2023 – أمام الاتحاد السعودي: قدم المارد الأحمر عرضًا قويًا وفاز بثلاثة أهداف مقابل هدف 3-1.

Healy feels Olympic participation will make cricket a ‘global sport’

The ICC has recommended six-team T20 events for both men and women to the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games organising committee (LA28), as it continues its push for cricket to be included in the biggest global sports events.Though there were reports that cricket had failed to make it to the 2028 LA Olympics, ESPNcricinfo understands that no decision has been taken yet and a final call will be taken by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) around October this year after the LA28 organisers finalise the list of new sports by March. These will then be ratified, at the IOC’s session in Mumbai, expected to take place around October this year.If the proposal is accepted, it is likely that the six participating teams would be the top six in the ICC’s men’s and women’s T20 rankings on a cut-off date.The ICC has not yet finalised a tournament structure – it is still discussing options for this with the LA28 organisers.T20 was the format proposed since both LA28 and the IOC had told the ICC that the format should be one in which there is a world championship conducted (that would rule out T10, for example), has a compact duration (ruling out ODIs) and significant spectator interest.Why only six teams for the Olympics?The key reason behind the ICC recommending six-team events is the IOC’s drive to become more cost efficient, which it has laid out as part of its strategic plan titled “Olympic Agenda 2020+5”. The best way to cut down on costs, the IOC has determined, is avoiding bloated squad sizes across disciplines as well as the overall contingents. LA28 also told the ICC that the quality of the proposed event must not be compromised, and it would need to be contested by the very best. This, too, contributed towards the idea to limit the proposed event to the top-six teams for both men and women.IOC favours single venue for cricketCricket has its own range of complexities in terms of streamlining costs, with squads travelling with teams of support staff, and requiring a certain number of pitches for games along with training pitches for teams to prepare on. It is understood that during the discussions, the guidance the ICC received from LA28 was that both the men’s and women’s events would need to be restricted to a single venue.The ICC had already seen the advantage of such cost-saving measures at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham last July-August, where women’s T20 cricket was one of the 19 disciplines. Originally, the ICC had recommended two venues for it, but the organisers limited it to one venue – Edgbaston – with 16 matches conducted across ten days with multiple double-headers.Cricket is competing with eight sports – baseball/softball, flag football, lacrosse, break dancing, karate, kickboxing, squash and motorsport – to make the 2028 Olympics. The IOC will review the proposals for all of them before finalising how many could be added to the list of 28 already finalised in February 2022.The ICC has been in constant dialogue with both LA28 as well as the IOC. An ICC delegation had even travelled to the IOC headquarters in Lausanne, Switzerland. In December, ICC chief executive Geoff Allardice met with LA28 officials in Los Angeles.Jay Shah added to ICC’s Olympics working groupBCCI secretary Jay Shah has been added to the ICC’s Olympics working group, which is headed by Greg Barclay (ICC chairman) and also includes Indra Nooyi (independent director), and Paraag Marathe (former USA Cricket president).The addition of Shah, who is the BCCI representative on the ICC board as well as chair of the finance and commercial affairs committee, is a strategic move. The IOC has earmarked India as a key market, keeping in mind the country’s ambition to host the Olympics in the near future. And the ICC believes Shah’s involvement could lend an important and potentially influential push in its negotiations with the IOC for cricket to be included at sport’s biggest global event.It is learned that the working group has updated ICC members with a summary of the discussions it has had with LA28.

Even the most optimistic Ipswich Town supporter will be having a hard time convincing themselves that their beloved Tractor Boys will live to see another day in the Premier League past this season.

Webster would go on to make 53 appearances for the Tractor Boys before moving on to Bristol City for £3.5m, having tallied up one goal and three assists as a composed player on the ball playing out from the back.

This move to the Robins would set him on his way to stardom, with the Seagulls number four featuring across just 47 games at Ashton Gate before costing the South Coast side a whopping £20m to a pick up, making him their most expensive capture in 2019.

Whilst the 6 foot 3 colossus has dealt with many an injury annoyance since entering the building, Webster has proven himself to be a reliable head whenever thrown into Premier League action donning Brighton blue and white, with two clean sheets even coming his way this season from 11 limited appearances.

Worryingly, Luke Woolfenden back at Portman Road only has one to shout about, despite making two more appearances as a utility figure under McKenna.

Lauded as “phenomenal” in the past by football analyst H, on top of also being labelled as a “great leader” by boss Fabian Hurzeler, it’s clear there’s life in Webster’s legs still despite injury setbacks, with the 30-year-old’s current transfer valuation sitting pretty at £10m according to Transfermarkt.

That is an 1150% increase from his original £800k value when he first walked through the Portman Road doors and a 185% increase on the £3m fee he was sold for.

Now, Webster will be keen to establish himself as a Premier League-worthy defender even more, while his ex-employers likely slip down to the EFL.

Como Lucas Piton foi o titular corintiano no Dérbi do último fim de semana, a tendência é que Fábio Santos seja titular no duelo decisivo deste meio de semana.

Next to Fernandes, the new United boss has either deployed Manuel Ugarte, who does have his limitations on the ball, or Casemiro, who has become a more prominent part of the squad again in recent weeks. That said, it was reported in February that the Brazilian could see out the remainder of his contract at Old Trafford.

Other options in the centre of the park include Kobbie Mainoo, who is currently out injured and Toby Collyer. Therefore, it will come as no surprise that United are linked with a new midfielder for the summer.

One name who has been linked to a switch to Old Trafford is Borussia Dortmund’s Felix Nmecha.

According to Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger, the Red Devils are believed to be ‘interested’ in signing the German this summer. He reports that the club ‘have him on their shortlist’ ahead of the transfer window.

As Berger notes in the story, ‘there has been no contact yet’ between United and Dortmund.

However, the midfielder is likely to cost around £42m if he is to leave Signal Iduna Park, which could become likely if BVB fail to qualify for Europe.

Why Nmecha would be a good signing for Man Utd

Despite Dortmund’s struggles this season, it has been an impressive season for Nmecha. Often playing as the deepest midfielder for the Bundesliga giants, he has featured 27 times across all competitions, scoring three times and grabbing two assists.

Goals are not necessarily a key feature of the midfielder’s game; he has only scored eight in his professional career.

However, when he does score, they are often worth a watch. Take his goal against Freiburg as an example. Nmecha picked up the ball from outside the penalty box and curled a shot home into the bottom left corner.

Interestingly, Nmecha has already had experience of English football. He spent several years playing for Manchester City’s academy, even featuring three times in the first team under Pep Guardiola, before making a move back to Germany, originally joining Wolfsburg before signing for Dortmund.

This could also make negotiations for the player run smoother from United’s point of view. As Berger explained in his report, the Red Devils’ technical director, Jason Wilcox, ‘knows him well’, given he was once the head of the City academy.

Should United complete a deal to sign Nmecha, they might find they have signed their own version of Jude Bellingham, not so much in the way they play, but rather in the fact both honed their crafts at Dortmund.

The England international played for the German side 132 times, scoring and assisting 24 times each, and has since gone on to achieve great things at Real Madrid. Bellingham has played 81 times for Los Blancos, with 34 goals and 24 assists to his name, and multiple titles.

Well, like the former Birmingham City star, Nmecha might not be the player we see today, without his time at Dortmund. In total, he has played 56 times, with nine goals and assists from his deeper role, and three Germany caps to his name.

There are similarities between the pair, however, despite the fact they are different styles of midfielder. Perhaps most notable is that both players are powerful box-to-box ball-carriers. As per FBref, Nmecha averages one take-on per 90 minutes this season, and Bellingham 1.72 per game. They also perform a similar amount of defensive work, notably when it comes to tackling.

Perhaps there is something about signing midfielders from Dortmund because Bellingham’s impact in Madrid has been superb. The Red Devils will surely be hoping the same can be said about Nmecha if they were to sign the 24-year-old in the summer.

As football scout Antonio Mango said, he is a “terrific talent”, who could transfer United’s midfield ahead of a big 2025/26 campaign.

أكد الإسباني أنسو فاتي، لاعب الفريق الأول لكرة القدم بنادي برشلونة والمنضم حديثًا إلى موناكو الفرنسي أنه لا يسعى للانتقام من أحد، خلال مؤتمر تقديمه.

وانتقل فاتي، إلى موناكو على سبيل الإعارة حتى يونيو 2026، إذ يرغب الفرنسي في خوض عدد دقائق أكبر واستعادة مستواه بعد أن عانى خلال الفترة الماضية بسبب قلة المشاركة مع برشلونة.

وقال فاتي خلال المؤتمر الصحفي في تصريحات نقلتها “آس” الإسبانية: “أشكر النادي على رهانه عليّ، منذ أول تواصل لي معهم، كنت واضحًا تمامًا معهم، كنت أرغب في اللعب والتطور هنا، أنا سعيد بوجودي هنا ومتحمس لبدء هذا التحدي الجديد”.

وأكمل: “إثبات ذاتي ضد إسبانيا وبرشلونة؟ لست هنا للانتقام، أنا هنا للاستمتاع بكرة القدم، لم تتح لي هذه الفرصة منذ فترة، أنا هنا للاستمتاع بها، ولأساهم بكل ما أستطيع في خدمة النادي وآمل أن نحقق إنجازات عظيمة”.

وأضاف: “سأظل ممتنًا لبرشلونة، فهو مكاني نشأتي وبداياتي، كانت لي تجربة في برايتون ورغم أن الكثيرين اعتبروها سيئة، لكنها كانت تجربة رائعة بالنسبة لي، آمل أن تكون الأمور مختلفة هنا، وأن أحظى بالاستمرارية التي أحتاجها وأن أشارك في العديد من المباريات، إذا أراد المدرب ذلك”.

وأردف: “أول ما فعلته هو التحدث مع وكيل أعمالي بشأن اهتمام موناكو بي، منذ البداية، كان موناكو النادي الأكثر تمسكًا بي، أتيحت لي الفرصة للتحدث مع المدرب الذي شرح لي ما يريده مني وما أريد أن أساهم به في أسلوب لعبه”.

وأتبع: “دوري مع الفريق؟ أولًا ما يحدث في غرفة الملابس يبقى هناك، كل ما أستطيع قوله هو أنني تحت تصرف المدرب، لمساعدة الفريق وتقديم كل ما لدي، أشعر أنني في حالة جيدة”.

واستطرد: “لا أعتقد أن الدوري الفرنسي سهل، بل هو من أفضل الدوريات حاليًا، آخر بطل لدوري أبطال أوروبا من فرنسا، العديد من اللاعبين الموهوبين، وهم الأفضل في العالم يظهرون من هنا”.

وأتم: “ما أحتاجه للاستمرار؟ لا أعرف في النهاية أحاول أن أكون على ما يرام قدر الإمكان، أؤمن بالله وفي النهاية ما يحدث لي أمر لا أستطيع السيطرة عليه، أستطيع تقليل الأزمات، أحاول أن أبذل قصارى جهدي لأكون على ما يرام، حتى لو لم تنجح الأمور أحيانًا، أواصل الكفاح، يومًا ما سأجد لحظتي السعيدة مرة أخرى وسأستمتع بها”.
